I start to get depressed when I think about living in a life of pain. I grieve not having a body that isn’t in constant pain. Does anyone else struggle with this? I’m not sure what to do to move through it especially because it’s something I will likely deal with forever.
I really used to feel down about the same thing, especially during the height of covid since I wasn't going out much. For me, I usually feel better about it when I'm more active and keeping myself busy. Even achieving little goals regarding my physical health helps me out monumentally mentally.
I feel the same way, it’s a daily struggle. I’m still working through trying to get myself in a better place mentally, but it is very hard to not think about the possibility of never again feeling “normal”. It helps when I know that I am not alone in my struggle, and that there are people who try to help and share their experiences. Feel free to reach out if you want :)
