I recently had my consultation with a rheumatologist, and one of the first things she asked me was “so you have Asperger’s?” Also, she went on to misgender me multiple times despite my correct identifying info being on my chart, AND she also asked to confirm my gender dysphoria diagnosis?? 😐
This does not make me feel very confident that I’m going to get closer to an answer for the chronic pain. How do you handle a doctor like this? :(
