Hi, I’m Rachel. Just trying this out, it’s always nice to talk to someone who you relate to. I’d love any advice that could lead to life without medication!

I take meds that help me but they definitely don't solve everything. I found that working out really improves my self esteem and my mood. Also writing down whatever is on my mind helps me relax a bit. Good luck, you can do it!

I recently was prescribed clonazepam as a bedtime sedative to help me stop clenching my jaw (one of my anxiety side effects). It seems to help with the clenching, though I’ve yet to find much relief in the rest of my day… I have Ashwaganda supplements, but I always forget to take them so I cant really say whether they work or not 😂

I feel that. I can tell I’m doing better as I’m eating healthier. When I was on medication for ADHD I was very productive and accomplished but I felt like a zombie. I was taking vyvanse and they took me off of it because they thought that it was the thing that was causing depression. I live somewhat stable but I want more out of life I just can’t focus long enough to pursue any skills I might have.

I wasn’t on medication for a long time. With them I’m a lot better. But without them I learned as cliche as it sounds, yoga helped a lot meditation was really nice. I started eating better and it kinda helped, I was exercising or awhile and I felt genuinely good. But I couldn’t keep up with it anymore I was so mentally exhausted and as much as it helped the medication is better for me at least for now.

For me it was identifying and managing my anxiety triggers and use of the DARE method, CBT and DBT
