60 mg (max) Prozac but I still want to die - any recs for additional meds? Tried Abilify but it made me impulsive and also lose my period.

It sucks but Lithium helped me with suicidal thoughts. It can be a miracle drug but can come with some pretty ugly side effects for some people at first (not everyone). Most side effects, in my experience, go away after about a month. Good luck!

Thank you both, but I’m mainly looking for an additional med on top of an SSRI (which includes Prozac, Lexapro, and Zoloft). I’ve tried Abilify (gave me no period) and Wellbutrin (gave me seizures) lol

@blues buspar is an add on. Have you tried that? Ive seen commercials for a new add on called rexalti, or something like that. Also, trazadone is another antidepressant you could take at night of you have problems sleeping. I really like the addition of seroquel to my antidepressant. Be careful with multiple antidepressants, go low dose and increase really slow. I got serotonin syndrome. It's Hell. Best of luck!!

I've been on Lexapro for a while now, it's alright for me, i would change it to see if something else would help me more because I don't feel like it's helping me fully, though meds and mental illnesses work in different ways to different people, i would say give something new a try, i know it's hard and you're probably sick of hearing it but try new meds especially with positive thoughts and hopes. It's hard, good luck!!

I was on Lexapro 40mg for years. I really liked it. The only reason I stopped it was when I moved, I lost my prescription for it and when I got back on it, my body wouldn't take it like it used to. Maybe look into that? Sending you all great vibes, friend!
