Just had my second microdiscectomy on Monday and am dealing with the post-surgical pain and sense of isolation. It hurts to move but movement helps in the recovery process so just laying around is not in my best interest. I’m a big reader and luckily I have a big stack of books on my to-read pile. What do you do to keep busy on high-pain days?
Truthfully anything that distracts me. Not always the same thing twice. Horror movies, something artistic, if I can baking or cooking. Just whatever will distract me. My fur kids help a lot!
