Stay dairy free and GF in your coffees!! I love almond milk and oat milk. I personally avoid dairy all around

Plain black coffee doesnāt bother me if Iām fasting, but it can make things worse if I eat food with it. Lactose intolerant and I canāt add creamer/milk because of the gums in them. Something worth looking into! Eliminating gums from my diet has been a game changer

I say this in every post but I learned that my ibs is actually due to a sugar intolerance. Even if your not intolerant to sugar, sugar makes any swelling worse so itās best to avoid when you have a cold or have flare ups. When I do drink coffee I mix with silk or oat milk with no added sugars and some honey! If you get the right ratio it can be as sweet and good as a Starbucks drink. I would like to suggest to try this? Again caffeine itself still effects me but if your questioning the other ingredients I think itās worth a shot.
@Madeline - iāve tried cold brew a few times and just donāt like the taste. i even tried NCB which is supposed to be less bitter but iām not sure i noticed a difference tbh. iāve never tried matcha so maybe iāll give that a try @Medically_Challenged - i have IBS-D and coffee seems to make that worse for me. i guess i shouldāve made that more clear in my post. iām also not a daily coffee drinker but iāve been noticing a pattern whenever i do drink it @Aloo - i generally donāt consume a ton of caffeine. iām not a big soda or coffee/tea drinker, just every now and then. my migraines are well controlled with topamax and imitrex thankfully. whenever i do drink coffee itās either a latte or coffee with creamer @Sunnymoon - iāve been using oatmilk/oatmilk creamers for a while now because iām sensitive to dairy but maybe itās the flavoring thatās upsetting my stomach š¤ whenever i make coffee at home i use silkās oatmilk creamer the oatmeal cookie one flavour and whenever i get coffee from a cafe i get a caramel latte
Aloo- a lot of migraine medications do have different amount of caffeine in it! It helps break the migraine cycle.
Coffee is okay for me, as long as I donāt put dairy or super sugary flavors in it!
Coffee/caffeine in general mess with my IBS but helps my migraines. Black coffee is a no go- always gives migraines and stomach aches. Been sticking to lattes and chai and they have been great relief to my migraines
Totally, it's a trigger even for people who don't have IBS

Coffee actually helps me go to the bathroom. However I only drink it every now and then, not everyday.
itās IBS roulette for me where i never know š®āšØ cold brewās a bit easier on my stomach when i need a coffee, but matchaās been a good switch!
