Those with POTs alert dogs!!! What breeds are your dogs? I’m a professional dog groomer and trainer (never service dogs, but I did train a pet for DPT when I’m at home) and I’ve done a lot of research and while I have several breeds I’m open to (certain breeds are big no for me due to hair type and super clingy personalities - retrievers are out aside from Tollers) the breed I feel is really the best for all of my chronic conditions as a whole, my lifestyle and personality is not an orthodox choice. I’m not listing the breed as I’m well aware of why NOT to get it but I also know it’s possible with the right breeder and the right handler and it’s been done successfully before. I’d love to know your dogs breed, background/history and their strengths and weaknesses when it comes to training. I just need more data because I’m around dogs all day and it can fry my nerves like nothing else. I very happily go home to my two cats after work and for the sake of my sanity I need to get this right.

I have a labradoodle as my service dog! I know they’re looked down upon in the service dog community but he’s the best dog. He thrives in his job and loves it
@Smash his strengths and weaknesses?
@EncyclopediaFae hmm.. His strengths; He’s SUPER chill and good at settling for long and short amounts of time. Very confident. He’s very smart which made training quite nice. Weaknesses: loves people too much, has random fears of weird things like the exhaust on a car lol sometimes he’s very stubborn. There’s probably a lot more for both but overall he’s a great dog!
