I remember having two different appointments with my surgeon. One before surgery and one after so I know surgeons can make regular appointments that aren’t surgical appointments. I say this because I’m hoping maybe you could call his/her office and explain to them that you need an appointment with the surgeon before the surgery and before you even make a date for the surgery, that you need an appointment to discuss some very important things. They will probably try to say “well, he can call you… “And that’s so hard on us with anxiety because we just want to say OK. But it would be so good for you to talk to him/her in person and tell them exactly what you are afraid of and what you need. Or maybe a phone call would be OK for you? I wish you luck. It’s so difficult to make these dang phone calls when we have GAD. And it’s so difficult to trust doctors when they have failed us in the past. I completely get it and I really do wish the best for you and hope you can get that strength to make that dang phone call. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

You should get the surgery. It was a long recovery but it was worth it.

I’m sorry to hear that. I have awful anxiety now ever since my surgery. My guts seem to be manageable now . But it took 3 years to get here. Now I’m dealing with a neurological disorder that no one has been able to figure out what is going on. All symptoms appear at night and disrupt my sleep. More torture .
