Gabapentin for Anxiety: Experiences?

I take gabapentin for nerve pain, and it worked really well. The only problem is that I started building up a tolerance quite quickly and it stopped working as well. I switched to pregabalin and it also worked, but the same thing happened. I switch between them when one starts to not work and so far everything is going well.

I'm on gabapentin but its for a nightmares and anxiety. But it helps with my nerve pain too. And its been wonderful for my nerve pain mostly. And it helps with a lot of my anxiety that I don't have to rely on my as needed anxiety med that I take too. I am on two anxiety meds.

Yes I take it for mood and for my nerve pain. It works wonders! My mood is good and mellow and my nerve pain is less!

I was on gabapentin for like 12 years for chronic pain and it did make a big difference for me. My only critique is that over those years I did wind up on what could be considered a concerningly high dose. I ended up switching to Pregabalin last year and it has been a minor miracle.
