Crazy story: I worked at a small health food store when I was a teenager, as a cashier. (My mother has a background in nutrition and is a chiropractor, so I grew up around nutritional supplements.) A woman came into the store and asked me where to find the "Ginko Balboa." I politely told her that there is no such supplement and that she's probably looking for Ginko Biloba. She became irate at my "insolence" and started yelling, demanded to see a manager. I got her one and went back to work. She still had to come through my checkout when she was finally convinced by my manager that I had been correct. She made it a point not to look at me, nor speak to me. 😅

Walmart. I was Stocking, Backroom & Receiving. My Social Anxiety made every moment torture. Panic Disorder didn’t help. I was 18 & was severely harassed by an elderly coworker for the entirety of my “career” there, for hours every day. For having a Stutter, which she assumed meant I was Intellectually Impaired… Our shifts overlapped by a few hours, and they expected my shift to get 25% of THEIR work done BEFORE they even entered the store, in addition to all of OUR work of course. If we couldn’t get a satisfactory amount of THEIR work done, on top of our own, she would blame it ALL on me and say that I was a horrible worker, lazy, stupid, and that “retards” like me shouldn’t be allowed to work there. She and her coworkers would leave the department for hours to walk around in the toy section nearby, shouting at the top of their lungs about me and laughing at me, while I WORKED. They would do the same thing, shouting insults about me and laughing for hours when they actually decided to do some work in our department. I felt so horrible that I started staying an after hour off the clock every night, working without pay, to try to prove to her that I wasn’t lazy. On one occasion, after hours of listening to her insult me, I stood in an aisle and punched myself in the head about 50 times in a row, while her & her coworker’s insults kept echoing through the department. Of course, eventually I got caught working unpaid and was told to stop. Apparently she was so obsessed with me that she spent her ENTIRE shifts EVERY day bitching about me, long after I went home, and she was either so annoying or so inappropriate that multiple people who had never even met me reported her. It didn’t make her stop at all.

@tigershark98 Edit: People kept asking the next day why I had bruises all over my face. I think I just said, “Yeah…” each time.

I had the cops called on me at my first job at a children party and play center because they parents owed extra money for running over their party slot time. I repeatedly tried to end the party but they wouldn't listen and then called the cops because they didn't know why they were being charged extra. Lawl.

Crazy story here: I worked at Walmart in OGP (Online grocery pickup) And we were sending out this lady's groceries, it took two of because she had so much stuff. When we got there we asked her name and went through the whole starting process. Now on the app if the item you're looking for isn't in the store, we just pick out something as close to that a 'substitution'.. And it tells you this on the app, and you can choose to ignore the substitutions and tell us if you didn't want them. Well, this lady never hit the button on her phone, and when she saw the substitutions in her car, she started yelling at all of us and throwing her groceries out of the car. We had to go get our team lead to take care of it. It was crazy. 😅
