I’m on the endometriosis diagnosis journey right now and I’m wondering, is there any treatment that actually makes you feel better? For me, pain during intercourse is excruciating, and I’d love to know if this is just something I’ll have to live with or can it improve?

Excision surgery paired with pelvic floor physical therapy helped me significantly. I get some pain a couple days before my period and nearly all my pelvic floor symptoms are at bay. I am moving forward with stress management techniques and anti-inflammatory and hormone balancing lifestyle changes (diet/skincare/personal care/household products/etc)

I had surgery to remove some of it and I’ve been on the mire a every since. I still get pain periodically but it’s not nearly as bad. And I don’t have periods anymore which significantly helped.

Excision is the only treatment that exists, it can make you feel much better. Beyond that, everything is a management tool and some do help and others don’t

I have an injection into my tailbone of lidocaine which helps with the pain and how uncomfortable the pressure can feel

@littlemisschatterbox I haven’t heard of that as an option before. I’m glad to hear this has been helpful for you! 🙂
