Trying to improve my “toolbox” for coping with OCD, especially in moments when I’m set off and have to react in real time / it affects my behavior in real time. Does anyone have any pointers?

Yes DBT is full of evidence based tools that help OCD. I love the skills radical acceptance, middle path thinking, both/and thinking, opposite action, emotional digestion, and mindfulness. Self compassion is another phenomenal tool.

Grounding is helpful! Deep breathing and not fighting the thoughts, fighting them makes them bigger and stronger if you just practice letting them flow by it helps! (10+ yrs of CBT therapy taught me this!) 🤗

I've been on and off with journaling. It's been kinda helpful writing down my thoughts and responses. Coloring/ word searches/ sewing have also been a good way to calm down.
