I have these breakouts that don’t feel normal. they’re DEEP and painful, and when I try to squeeze them, 99% of the time blisters form on them and very little pus comes out. they swell up and get super red. I know that clear liquid comes out of open wounds but these form literal blisters?? I want to stop picking but the feeling that there is infection so deep in my skin makes me sick to my stomach. i’ve been scarring up my face so badly and when my parents try to just say ‘stop picking at them!’ it makes me so insecure. the spots are usually on my nose and chin. hydrocolloid patches work (barely) but don’t get rid of them. I keep a pretty consistent skincare regimen :( please if you have any advice, let me know!! i’ve been applying a VERY small amount of a steroid cream on them and that usually helps but I always always always want to pick.

I know EXACTLY which ones you're talking about. I feel you. But honestly, the best way to get rid of these is with TendSkin (a razer bump liquid that burns but really works!!) and self control. I can barely control leaving those ones alone because they hurt so much and I want to feel that sudden relief. I seriously recommend TendSkin- but if you have dry skin, use it sparingly. It WILL dry out your skin. I hope this helps!!

Have you seen a dermatologist about them? Set up an appointment and for 2 weeks prior, you should be motivated to not pick because you'll want the doctor to not focus on your picking and give you an accurate diagnosis that could possibly result in you finding treatment for it!

I totally understand where you're coming from, and it's so hard ❤️ the urge to pick, for me, is very, very strong when it's looking like a sore. I was able to get a picking stone off Etsy, thanks to my therapist bringing it up. It's a lava/pumice stone that you fill with liquid latex, and after it's set, you can take these picking tools to it and pull out the hardened latex from the holes. It doesn't always make me want to not pick, but it does distract me and somewhat satisfy the urge sometimes. Maybe that could help?
