Distract, walk away, do anything else. It gets easier. Don't believe the lies your brain tells you.

I try to focus on things that are tangible. So how do my clothes feel, what’s the air feel like around me, what do I smell, so on. I also like to replace the thought with 3 things I enjoy/love.

Yoga, meditation and mindfulness. Thinking about your breath vs that thought that keeps cycling in your head.
