it’s so sad to me that i CONSTANTLY feel the need to apologize for everything, even if it’s not my fault or even if it’s about something out of my control. for example, i ended with a B- in my neuroscience class and i told my mom and immediately after i apologized that my grade wasn’t higher (even tho that class is hard as shit and i did my best). does anyone else struggle with this? with this constant guilt and need to apologize for everything?

@lolo1576 I don't struggle with this as much as I used to, but for me at the time it was more rooted in depression, but also some self worth issues and other various insecurities. If you ever need someone to talk with about things feel free to dm me :)

Try the “sorry not sorry” saying. Like as soon as you say sorry for something you didn’t mean follow up with saying “not sorry.”
I do it all the time too ☹️ for everything. It makes people mad sometimes which makes me just want to apologize more!
I do that too. That feeling is the worst. Idk why I do it though. I think that behavior is more common in females though because we tend to be more agreeable in general.
Yup-I apologized to the Lyft driver for not knowing how to close their minivan door yesterday. It's a fawn response, and is common in PTSD/CPTSD.
@SJP ugh, i’m sorry you have to go thru that… it’s the worst. i guess i’m my case, the PTSD that i’m at least AWARE of i don’t think would cause me to be like that so i’m wondering if there’s other stuff going on…
