Holidays are the best and the worst. My friends and family are ignorant to my chronic illnesses. Started the day with breakfast at the pier. Then did some cooking. Then cooked candied pecans for hours. Then got a Christmas tree. Decorated it, then candied more nuts. Topped that off with a 20 minute walk and now it all caught up to me. I just want to cry. I’m nauseous and dizzy and just miserable. Everything hurts. My dad called me a wuss and said since he’s 55 and fine that I should be fine since I’m 20. I just want to cry but have nowhere to cry.

you are definitely not a wuss you are amazing!!! i would’ve tapped out after breakfast lol i can’t even stand for a few minutes never mind a 20 minute walk. people who don’t have pots will never fully understand how hard it is to do “simple” tasks. i hear things like that all the time too and it’s horrible but what they say honestly doesn’t matter at all. i hope you’re proud of all that you were able to accomplish, i personally think you’re a super hero :)

I get this, it take a long time for those close to us to start to comprehend the suffering we are experiencing. Send him some information so he can read it in his own time.

Yeah, I definitely know how tough it can be and I’m hella proud of you for pushing through it. Just remember, you don’t owe them anything. Make sure to take care of yourself and just because they’re family doesn’t mean they’re correct. You’ve been hella strong and best of luck with the rest of the holidays.
