Managing Social Stress in the Workplace as an Autistic Person

I deadass wrote an interaction program in my head. Like "if, and" and for loops and shit. I paid attention to the flow of conversation and took not of what things people treated as social cues and wrote my script. A basic example was that people would assume the transaction was completely done when i asked if they wanted their receipt, so i learned i couldnt ask ahead of time and instead only asked after everything was done as a signal they could leave, and that way if they werent done they would have the chance to signal that before i did whatever goodbye phrase was appropriate for the time of day. I would just smile and do my program. As for co-workers i just stay polite and quiet until ive observed enough of their workplace social patterns to know which communication methods in my arsenal i should use that would be compatible with them. Do they joke around, are they serious, do they gossip etc etc. for stuff like gossip and passive aggressive stuff i just say im being "diplomatic" so i dont have to engage since i dont really know how to do that stuff right yet and would rather not get on bad terms with someone by complete accident. i kept all of my stuff on the dl, so not much help there.
