I often get so fatigued & depressed over nothing.. that I can’t do anything but lay in bed. How do you guys keep energy levels up & motivation consistent?

I don't keep my energy up, like at all. I take naps all the time, and lounge in bed for hours. But. I fight against the loss of motivation and it is HARD. I make list of things to do. Small things. I washed one dish today. But you know what. I did it. I forgive myself.

When I have something I know I need to do but I can't find the energy or motivation, I watch videos of other people doing it. Like if I need to clean I'll watch someone go through their cleaning routine on YouTube. After a few minutes, it makes it seem kind of fun and I'll leave it on while I'm cleaning so I don't feel like I'm doing it alone.
I get so discouraged. Then when it's all piled up and I already complained a lot I generally tend to continue on with pure spite. My mantra this week is "They can't handle me but I can handle me therefore that makes me stronger than them" 🤣

O totally understand where you’re at coming from. I’m sorry youre going through that. ❤️ I wouldn’t be able to lift my head off the pillow without my meds. Maybe you need a tweak?
I struggle with this too. I've noticed if I give myself rewards after hard tasks, like brushing my teeth or doing dishes, it kind of hypes me up just enough to push through doing something.

@Ghostkiggy rewards have really helped me too
@Mazzyllene my experience with low to no energy is similar in that I feel like it’s a fight for motivation that can be so hard. It is so difficult to be forgiving with yourself but once you can do that even a little bit, the weight of the guilt and anxiety of everything that hasn’t been done is a little easier to deal with, which in turn motivates me to do a little bit and try to just keep doing a little bit every day. I think making realistic goals is important, some days you’re only accomplishment might be drinking water and eating, and other days you’ll get more done, but either way as long as you are trying that is the most important part! I keep my little ember glowing however I can so that some days it can become a small flicker of flame, and maybe one day I’ll even have a fire going.
make sure you’re nourishing yourself and doing your best to get up and moving, I know both can be hard and i’m not great at either but i’ve noticed a difference when i’m eating at a normal level and since I got my puppy and then had to start getting up and walking her. try to find what motivates you to get up and move around even if it’s a little
I wish I had advice for you...all we can do is try our best.
I don't, honestly. But one thing that sometimes helps is B12 or B-complex vitamins in the morning before work. But I tend to mask things or pretend I have energy when really all I am is exhausted 😅 also, some if the meds I've taken previously seemed to have helped a little with energy/motivation. I've also been trying magnesium, but that hasn't done much for me tbh, but could be different for you!
