If we matched you must be quite miserable. I have a whole list of chronic illnesses but the latest and most painful seems to be osteoarthritis. Have you all found a diet or exercise routine that has been helpful?

I never felt this question to feel more personal. I have long list of illnesses too , but man oh man OA has been the worst of all . Dealing with the pain is a pain in the ass .

Staying away from coffee has prevented flare ups. I’m not sure why that is, I’m assuming the acidity found in coffee may cause inflammation.

Botox has a rebate program to help cover the out of pocket expense. I’m going file for that

I’m getting Botox injections in my jaw and steroid injections in my hip to help my knee. I can’t take anti inflammatories because on top of multiple chronic illnesses post Covid kidney disease stage 3 was added

I don't know what is causing this sciatica. I have OA in both hips, lower back, neck and hands. I'm on a heating pad now and still severe pain!

I use a treadmill for 15 min then use the hydro massage beds at planet fitness. It helps the pain and stiffness a lot.

Unicorn-thanks. Can’t imagine walking very far on a treadmill or otherwise. My driveway about does me in. I had to look up the AIP diet. I will give that a try.

It’s hard on food front. I love some foods that cause inflammation.. anything from the nightshade ( deadly belladonna) will cause it. That’s peppers, tomatoes, egg plant. AIP diet is supposed to be good for inflammation.

I walk on treadmill 3 times a week. Definitely helps in the long run with pain. I find when I miss I hurt more.

I also haven’t found anything that works whether it be food or exercise or even medication.

I just recently received IV treatment full of vitamins and fluids and it has helped my osteoarthritis tremendously. I also suffer from hirshbrungs disease and it has eased those symptoms too.

I am having a telemedicine appointment with a nutritionist to see what foods to eat to help with the inflammation.

The osteoarthritis has moved into previous injuries that exist in my left knee, my tailbone and two deteriorating disc’s in my lower back!
