No. Generally I can sleep flat. I am at college right now, but I home I have a futon that can go at a 45 degree angle and that usually helps. At college if it gets bad I’ll just curl up against my husband (the plushy chair) and sleep vertical. If you can elevate the bed head that might not be a bad idea.

      Is your bed head elevated?

I have GERD and this happens for sure. Pepcid is my life line and if it is constantly bad, sleeping propped up helps. If I’m having a bad flare up I’ll sleep in a reclining chair or on a long triangular pillow to keep my body from being flat. Once or twice I’ve had to go almost vertical which kills my back. The gravity assistance helps a lot!

I don’t have it but my husband does pretty bad. You can check out the acid watchers diet group on Facebook. It’s pretty strict but some people have success with it

Hi! I have GERD and this definitely happens. For me I found that Pepcid has worked best. The antihistamine in it has been more helpful for me than just protonix alone. Also using a wedge at night to sleep.

I don't have LPS but I have bad acid reflux. I take pantoprazole which is the prescription version but the over-the-counter version is omeprazole and that is super helpful too. It did get to a point where it hurt my throat. I hope this helps.
