If at all possible, take your basics at a community College. So much cheaper than standard university. It took me 2 years to get where I knew what I wanted to actually do with my life, so don't stress over that.

Congratulations! Don't put too much stress on figuring everything out all at once and talk to your advisor as much as possible. I know it's hard to ask for help but I tried to plan out my classes on my own my first year (this year) and I've literally almost quit so many times this year because I didn't plan it out well and ended up taking classes in the wrong combination and stuff. Seriously, don't try to do it alone, ask for help. They know what they're doing and that's their job, it's what they're there for and they're almost always super kind and helpful.

Enjoy it im in college and ppl who focus too much on being productive are going to hate it later... Also it's a lie that college professors are harder than hs ones ... The opposite actually, they'll be like "I don't feel like coming in today, y all get credit for the day now fuck off" it's da bess

NEVER be afraid to email your professors. Remember your own limits when it comes to classes and how many you decide to take. Remember to do your FAFSA and see if you can qualify for any financial aid.

I graduated last year and just finished up my first year of college. It was overwhelming and it took me a long time to adjust for many reasons. But, it was very exciting! Everything is new and while that is terrifying... it was a lot of fun. I've had a lot more opportunities and experiences I never had a chance to so I would say just embrace the nervous and have a great time

Do the things that you want to do, not the things that you think other people want you to do. If you stay true to yourself, you’ll find similar people instead of trying to fit yourself into a box that you don’t belong in. I finished collage a few months ago, and I learned SO much about myself during my 3.5 years. Soak as much in as you can and follow your interests!

Take a decent amount of hours and LEARN HOW TO STUDY. I’d recommend taking 12-15 your first semester and once you get the hang of things, you can decide if you want more. College is a scary and big step but it is very rewarding! Understand also that no matter what happens, it doesn’t change your worth. I worried that failing would make everyone hate me and I would be less of a person, but this isn’t true! No matter what happens with grades or anything else, you are amazing and can do anything. :)))

For the first 1-2 weeks it will be hard. But, after that you should be fine.

For starters, woo congrats!! You're graduating highschool in the middle of a pandemic! You're doing so well. Tbh don't rush into college if you're not sure, you'll burn out easily and college will suck. Trust your gut

My one tip would be to not party too much but also don't spend all your time studying either. I am a Senior in college now and the one thing i regret is that i spent too much time worrying about my classes and never participated in any activities. So try to find a good balance!
