Russell Stover candies are really good. They have all different flavors and they are chocolate coated and individually wrapped! They have saved me a few times when I’m desperate for something sweet! I started changed my drinks Coke Zero now and water. I don’t want any complications so I’m slowly removing heavy carbs and no white cane sugar in my diet. ❤️

Go for the highest fiber bread you can. Fiber slows down the sugar getting into your system. I eat fruit instead of candies, although I've found a few very low sugar candies that having just one or two helps me with that craving.

@MaryC I'm making my own breads from barley, chickpea, and 9-grain flours. Ezekiel is good.
Getting past the sugar cravings is the hardest. I satisfy those cravings with sugar free candies & dark Chocolate. A little bit of Chocolate is good for diabetes & the soul. The bread cravings are the worst. I love bread too. Haven't really found a substitute for that. I try to cut carbs other places when I'm craving bread. Everything in moderation. Trying to ignore the cravings will make you feel worse. Bread does not affect my sugars like candy & sweets do.
