i do feel like i’m misdiagnosed with Bipolar disorder type 2 because i do not have manic episodes. plus my parent have bipolar disorder type 1 and my sibling is type 2. i have been researching BPD and think it is possible i have BPD. most of time i feel lonely, sad, guilty, and wanting to please people so much. i crave attention and affection. after my first break up, i felt like my whole world is upside down and wanting to die. i thought i will end up alone forever

Honestly i feel the same way. It’s really hard to get diagnosed with BPD, but if you think it’s right keep persisting and keep in mind BPD and Bipolar often go hand in hand. good luck ❤️

I was diagnosed initially with major depression. The doctors would ask me if I had periods of euphoric mania. I’ve never been euphoric in my life. Years later I learned about dystopic mania. Irritability, risky behavior, anxiety and stress. I had all that along with profound depression. I was finally diagnosed with bipolar II. It took a long time to get properly medicated and from time to time I have to adjust my meds. A proper diagnosis is imperative.

First, sorry you are going through this. Second, I was told I had bipolar 2 and with it, comes mania in a different forms. Usually effects your way of thinking and choice making. I would laugh for days uncontrollably and my husband would have to calm me down. Spending money became a tactic to keep me sane. There are other things too that are considered “mania”. Bipolar 1 mania is scary and hard to control. It can also be dangerous. That to me is the difference. I was told in 2021 that I had a bunch of different mental illnesses and it’s hard to know what’s real and what’s speculation
