I feel like I’m crumbling. My family HATES my husband. We moved to where they live to be closer to them and I feel like they don’t respect him at all. I regret moving here. I don’t know what to do

Why do they hate him? What do they say about him?

@Nilo honestly he is a little selfish and doesn’t always make the best choices when it comes to us, but they call him names and say how much they don’t like him and how he’s a “POS” but he’s a great person. He has his shit together, and does as much as he can for me but they refuse to see that. And every minor thing they don’t like ends up a huge battle

@Lexi97 if your family sees that he could potentially be hurting you in some way, that’s why they could be becoming defensive. Sometimes when you’re the one in the situation, it’s hard to see the negative behaviors or characteristics of someone. I’m not saying that’s the case, but just some insight. If you love him and you know and feel he loves you, then all-in-all, it’s your marriage and not theirs, and you have to do what makes YOU two happy. Try to focus on some soul searching. :)

My family hated mine too. Was a constant source of stress for me. Then we moved away to be closer to his parents, and I feel guilty that my kid didn't have a relationship with my parents.
