How do you manage to take care of your home, pets and personal care? I live alone and have very little help. I feel like I can’t keep up and I am so sick that I feel like I am going under. Thank you

Hi! I do everything in small amounts rather than huge cleaning days. Some tasks are harder than others, like cleaning the bathroom, so I might split that up into 2 days. There are other things I never do alone like cleaning out the garden. I always have someone come over and help me with that otherwise I faint. I also have some tasks that I do bi-weekly and some I do monthly just to keep myself from over doing it. I have found over time it’s been helpful to get things done but not over do it exertion wise.

@SaltyZebra thank you. I am having a major flare and unable to do much. Things are going south in my home and my personal care is embarrassing.I take care of my little pet and I am back in bed. This particular flare has lasted one month and I am deciding that I am going to have to find help. Money is tight. I was diagnosed 10 years ago and I can no longer keep up. How are you doing?

@Sagewoman so sorry to hear that. That’s definitely tough. During a flare I also never get anything done around the house and barely any self care outside of surviving. When it starts piling up it can become overwhelming. Do you have anyone in the area around you that understands what you’re going through that can come help? There’s nothing wrong with asking friends or family for a little extra love during this time. I’m finally doing ok. I had a hospitalization/flare in February that lasted about 2 months with some new diagnoses. I’m finally starting to get some balance back in my life. Thanks for asking 😊.
