Hi! I don’t really get how this app works… but here goes I guess? I’ve been dealing with GI issues for so long and it’s super frustrating. I can never seem to figure out what triggers it or what to do to make it feel better. Have you been able to figure out IBS triggers? What has helped figuring that out?
I am the same way, never know if the spaghetti sauce will make me flare up this time or not. Can eat the same thing 5 different times and get a different reaction almost each time. I feel bloated ALL. THE. TIME. Dr just keeps giving me meds but no tests to see if it's something other than ibs (which i was dx with a number of years ago). I'm so frustrated.
you might have a similar situation as me it might be specific ingredients in the sauce like i’m highly sensitive to garlic but not in the sauce every time
i did two different food sensitivity tests and each one had different foods come up except garlic came up for both and now i do notice all my symptoms happen when i eat garlic even garlic powder. but it can’t be the only trigger i have but at least i found one
Unfortunately the only thing that has helped me even a little in identification is following a very strict low fodmap diet. If you know there are a few foods you do well with/most likely do well with, I'd stick to those and test as you go. I've learned a lot about my system that way, but I will say it has been very tough! Hope you are able to find some relief
It’s tough because I’m recovering from an eating disorder and trying to do any kind of restrictive diet is super triggering, and I end up back in a really bad mental health space. It feels like I have to choose between being physically healthy and mentally healthy and that’s bs
that is super tough, and it makes a lot of sense! It is very relatable, struggling between mental and physical illness. Maybe talking to a nutritionist/see if someone is sort of familiar with both ed's and ibs? If you have access ofc 😝
