I cant keep my room clean for the life of me no matter how hard I try and I thought it was my depression but I found out it's my OCD which just makes me feel like I'm stuck in my mess forever no matter how many times I clean it
The best thing I ever did was declutter. Sometimes with OCD and especially with ADHD/ADD, clutter can get to a point that it’s so overwhelming you’d rather someone throw it all away so you don’t have to worry about it. So I try to clean up each night before I go to bed so it doesn’t get too out of control.n
BRO I’m so glad to hear someone say this. This is the first time in my life my room has been semi clean because I developed a habit to declutter once a day. At my worse, I would just trash everything from dirty clothes to important items because my perfectionism didn’t even want to deal with it. I’ve lost a lot of important belongings but I’m glad I don’t have that urge anymore :)
