Feeling Alone Despite Being Around People

just sending mush out into the void because despite being around people I just feel so alone, I feel so emotionally detached from reality and it’s so hard not to reflect on all my failures, anyone feeling the same?

      I’m feeling lonely. I have no friends. I think about suicide on the daily. Today is my mom bday. She has been dead 31 years. I miss her everyday. Today I decided to be sober for once. I’m giving up everything. Pot, booze, pills. All of it. I want to feel happy again. It’s been years since I was happy.

        @Maribeth I’m really sorry to hear about your mom, I’m happy you’ve made the decision to start a journey towards sobriety and I wish you the best of luck, I know how difficult that is, I hope it brings you happiness (I have some sober friends and finding a sober community to involve yourself in seems to really help with staying successful and creating positive social connections that don’t involve substances)
