Hi I’m Hannah. I’ve been experiencing really severe muscle pain in my hands, arms, shoulders and neck. I think this is due to my GAD. It gets worse when my anxiety is higher. Does anyone else experience this? I feel like I’m going crazy. Nothing works. I’ve tried stretching, ibuprofen, Tylenol, epsom salt baths, magnesium tablets… literally everything. Does anyone have suggestions? I’m desperate at this point.

You are probably tensing up all day due to anxiety and don’t realize it. Yoga helps to start the day and check in every hour or so at first and do a relaxation or deep breathing exercise to stay loose

Warm soaks combined with medicines like naproxen(aleve) and afterwards use tigerbalm. But make sure you wash your hands well after use. Talk to your doctor about the pain

Im not 100% sure but I'm almost sure that all of my muscle pain comes from years of tensing up from anxiety. And it took so many years for me to realize. I do the salt baths and there are also vitamins that are known to help with those things I just haven't gotten that far yet. And I'm always stopping to remind myself to physically relax for at least 60 seconds until i forget om doing it again then remind myself again. I also smoke weed and that helps. Oh! Try Dr Solomon's thc balm. Theres a website. You just rub it on like tiger balm. Its a bit expensive but has outstanding reviews. Also blue lotus tea for anxiety. I'm going to try soon but always research yourself before taking my word to make sure its a good fit. No allergies etc. Good luck!

OMG yes! Everyday!! I find when my stress or anxiety is high I tense my muscles without knowing it for hours. If you can remember to do a body scan through the day to try and relax your muscles so they don’t get so tense. But I usually lay on a heating pad and use a tennis ball or anything that can massage deep in the tissue.
