When I go through emotionally challenging things my first instinct is to binge. How can I push this urge away, I’m nervous I’m going to lose self control and eat myself sick after school today…

I suggest sitting down and writing why your feelings make you want to eat. Are you trying to hide your feelings, by eating and not paying attention to them? Do you have feelings you want to share and no one is listening so you turn to food? Are you feeling anxious and using food to help with this feeling? If Yes to any of these, maybe take a moment to just breathe in and out and calm yourself. Drink some water and allow yourself 20 minutes and then allow a small snack if after all of that, you feel like some food. Don’t punish yourself from not eating at all, just be mindful to the best of your ability. 🤗

I struggle with the same thing. One thing I have found is that by having things like fresh berries in the house, I consume those instead of chocolate.

I’ve found out that drinking water helps like chugging it and then I write down what I’m feeling and then if not I leave my money and leave the house to be away for food until I calm down
