Anyone with hEDS! I have had chronic dislocations since I was 7. I’ve had two reconstructive knee surgeries between ages 9 and 13. I’m 18 now and facing surgery on my other knee. How do you stay positive when your condition keeps progressing? Is there anything other than braces and pain meds that can help me deal with this?

hi! i have hEDS, but i don’t have it as bad as you in the joints! my bones are more prone to breaking and i mostly just sublax joints! i have a few comorbities, but on a mental note- i just turn everything into a joke it keeps me going! also finding the friends who will joke with you. physically- i take low dose naltrexone (it’s supposed to be great for pain!) and tommy copper braces are great for pain (not for stability!)
