Does anyone else have a really hard time quitting jobs? Right now I’m working 2 jobs and I’ve been planning on quitting my first job since I started my second job almost 2 months ago. I only work my first job on weekends and I don’t even like it there anymore. I’ve always struggled quitting jobs.
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
I have the same problem with jobs (and relationships) I feel a sense of obligation to the people/company that supported me. I'm a big people pleaser out of insecurity so that's what I had to work on in myself. If you're staying out of a sense of obligation know that they will be okay without you, and you deserve leisure! If it's workaholism (which I also fall victim to) maybe try to find some purpose outside of your job and find something to fill your newfound free time. Good luck!
I also feel bad quitting sometimes because I feel guilty about my mental health needs, and that adds on to the sense of obligation. People hiring you and/or providing you necessary mental health support whilst you work for them should be the bare minimum and should not make you feel you have to stay!! (Just speculating based on my experience)
