hi there… i just got recently diagnosed with OCD and ADHD. my therapist said for the first time today that i more likely also have high functioning autism, after i read her an article about autism (asbergers - that we don’t acknowledge now as a term) in afab’s. i’m really excited for this diagnosis of autism, as i’ve been thinking about it for years, sorta obsessively (hah, OCD), and i’ve feared to self-diagnose for so long. i’m honestly just waiting for the day when my therapist tells me i officially have it. i’m sorta patient but, i’m also not. it’s been such a long time of suffering, and a long time (5 years) of debating autism inside my head. i honestly - just can’t wait for the debate to stop inside of me. btw, i’m fine if i don’t have it. i’m honestly just feeling like i’m ready to be told what i’m dealing with, now. and i’m so excited that it feels impatient? i hope that’s understanding. anyway, yeah, that’s my statement. have a good day wherever you are. thanks for reading. :)
