I wish I had the secret. I usually just remind myself this temporary. I also have a few close friends at work that are aware and they help me, check on me, or let me vent.
I usually try the timer method, where I’ll tell myself, “ok just get thru 30..45..60..minutes then schedule a 10 min break” the 10 minutes I’ll step away either to the bathroom or just a “safe” space to cry, meditate, breathing exercises and or hydration. I continue to rotate until it’s my shift is over.
