I was just diagnosed with hypothyroidism but I take anticonvulsants. Should i accept the medication they are trying to give me ? Or should i stop taking my other meds ?

But, personally, I would still ask for a low effective dose of Levo.

Did you mean 1.13 or 11.3? T4 normal range is .8 to 1.8. If so then that's great.

I got my Levo Rx from an urgent care doctor... I just showed her my high TSH level (hypothyroidism) test...

Have you been taking the anticonvulsant before your hypothyroidism diagnosis? I'm not a doctor but it would be weird if your MD just gave you anticonvulsant (for neuropathy) and overlooked at your TSH levels.... I'm taking 1 tab of 50 mcg qd of Levothyroxin... 50 might is .05 mg...its low but effective... Your TSH is high...it should be within .40 to 4.50. But anyway, TSH test normally comes with T4. T4 is the more important measurement...

What's your last TSH level if you don't mind asking? Your MD should have prescribed you a Levorhyroxin
