Hey! I know it is easier said than done but I recommend you talk to them and be honest about how it makes you feel. Try to figure out and understand why they are keeping secrets. Work with your partner to find possible alternatives to secret keeping. You and your partner should be working together to make the relationship healthy! And secret keeping, regardless of good intention is not a sign of healthy communication.
If they’re aware of your depression, they may be hiding their one problems/thoughts in fear of triggering you. My advice is open communication: let them know that the secrets are having an adverse effect on you and, if they are keeping secrets because of your depression, talk about potential solutions. As someone with depression, actually letting my partner know when I’m not going well and can’t handle any more mental strains is hard for me, so instead we made up a system where I’d wear something (a certain bracelet, necklace, whatever works for you) in order to silently let them know that I’m not in the right mindset to handle someone else’s emotions/troubles.
but on a serious note if you really love them try to talk to them abt it and sit them down and have a serious convo. i am suffering from depression also, and when situations happen like this i like to get them to understand what’s it’s like in my position and tell them abt how my depression can make things worse when bringing up secrets.
