I keep having these panic attacks at night. I know the trigger— a long time fear of being watched through the window. But i’ve recently bought black curtains and my room is high up off the ground. I KNOW that i’m like, not and’s i try to calm myself down but it’s like there’s these other thoughts with a mind of its own panicking, so here i am. —i had these panics before the black curtain but i’m saying it just happened again— covered in sweat, breathing hard, staring at a blurred obscure version of what’s really there. I’m also sure i saw a man in my corner (what my brain made up to be a man) and tbh, i have no idea what these panics are like— idk. I haven’t taken any meds to trigger it. I don’t know what to do ? these pants used to happen like one a year but recently it’s been multiple times a month?

I do this too! Some things that help me are: • going to check if you can see inside. • putting on a kid's cartoon or show • being around people • having the light on The thing that has helped me the most is facing the fear. It is incredibly difficult to do that, I know. The more times you face it and see nothing happened, the easier the fear is to manage.

I have horrendous nightmares that wake me up with a panic attack often, and what helps me is turning on like a really dumb or funny or nostalgia-inducing movie to go to sleep to that clouds your brain. I don't know if that is helpful but I thought I'd throw it out there.

Not a doctor! But it does sound like this is a stress induced response if you say it has picked up the pace in the last month. Are you experiencing anything that might stress you? Anything you are keeping a secret? Again not a doctor but I do think this could be related to some form of stress as it has happened to me. Any type of stress will make my insomnia and hallucinations worse. What helped me is to get myself out and in my own space to relax and get rid of stress. I also take melatonin along with cbd & hemp oil. They work really well. Hope you find something that helps you

I'm sorry have you tried listening to things to help you sleep or sleep meditation? I have trouble getting right to sleep from time to time so I've downloaded an app called BetterSleep and it has different stories, sleep meditations, melodies, and etcetera that help you sleep. The app even has where you can record yourself sleeping so you can later look back and see what time you might have been snoring or talking in your sleep. It's helped me sleep better alot. I hope you can be able to sleep better 🤗🙂
