Has anyone been recommended compression tights for their POTS? If so, where did you get them? Did they actually help?

I got prescription ones. I think they were about $75, but I had met my max out of pocket, so they were free so I decided to try them. I did not like them at all. On the days I need them most, I'm generally wearing shorts and they look ridiculous. The other thing that bothered me was the material. It was not comfortable at all

I order my knee high compression socks off of Amazon. It’s like $20 for a pack. I just make sure they are 20-30 mmHG. They work well for me

Thank you everyone for your input! I’m going to be ordering from a few different brands and test them out in the next few weeks.

I've gotten some off of compressionstockings.com and from a brand called comrad. From what I've read you'll want at least 20-30 mmhz, that's the level that really starts to help with hypotension. My doc also told me that I should only use thigh highs or full stockings, but I personally haven't found those to help more than knee highs

Yes from Amazon and I can definitely tell a difference when I’m not wearing them

I use cyb gene compression socks and while I don't feel the difference I tested standing with them on and off and it lowered my hr by a good 10 which was the difference between passing out and not plus theyre comfortable for me so for me I guess its a 👍

honestly i found that have a compression band around my abdomen helped the most! this may sound crazy but i believe most of my “pooling” happens in my abdomen and having compression there especially when i sit at my desk all day helps

Yes! I’ve gotten legit compression socks before- don’t remember the brands but they were expensive and honestly not worth it. Honestly long athletic socks that have some spandex material will do the trick. Compression lower leg sleeves reduced the swelling in lower legs but made my feet and knees swell and just ended up being too uncomfortable. I swear by Nike pro spandex shorts as underwear to help back and hip instability when I am active and they help a lot! Keep everything locked in in stable without being so tight I have a hard time breathing. I’ve tried a lot of compression gear for sports over the year and most of the legit “compression” gear doesn’t work for me. Too much compression- feel stiffer and causes discomfort and overflow swelling. Recommend find material & fit that works for you and go with that. I have liked everything I’ve got from copper compression off Amazon so far but they’re a little hit or miss but they aren’t as expensive as other brands.

I have I bought them on Amazon and honestly I do not think they help me as much as I had hoped especially when I have a flare up it’s usually so bad that nothing helps me much. My sister borrowed them for a job in which she was on her feet all day and said that they helped her immensely however.

@Zoey_Val thank you for the input! This really helps 🙂 I used to wear them in college but they didn’t really help that much. Im just desperately searching for anything to help.

@Aliase Np! Same here it seems as though many people have not found anything that seriously helps I hope we can find something soon.
