I have been having a crazy amount of sudden mood swings and i was wondering if anyone has experienced this on prozac. It’s hard to tell if the mood swings are a symptom of something i’m already diagnosed with, a side effect of my meds, or something else. Also they are to short to be bipolar or cyclothymia- they only last 20 minutes to an hour. Does anyone have any ideas on what could be the cause of my mood swings?

Sometimes psychiatric medication can cause mood swings like this; as long as it’s not significantly messing with your daily life, it’s not cause for concern. Just mention it to your doctor next time you’re there

I did and didn't like it. My psychiatrist had me doing trials with depression and anxiety medication (I'm all good now) to see what worked best and that just means the dosage you're taking isn't the right one or you're still getting used to it if it's only been a few days to a week on the Prozac. If you're still dealing with the mood swings after a month or so there should be an additive to help balance it out.
Yep i have
