Weight gain on venlafaxine/Effexor

I had worries about this after other medications I'd been on causing me significant weight gain but i have lost 5 kilos since starting venlafaxine 3 weeks ago as it stops me from being at all hungry. I've read it can go either way but so far is the only one to cause loss instead of gain for me and does wonders to my mood. I hope you have positive experiences with or or find the right one for you

I've gone up 3 dress sizes since starting venlafaxine

I’m still on Venlafaxine and at first I did gain some weight. It’s helped to be a bit more active and to change my diet.

I struggled with a lot of weight can on Effexor. I’m doing TMS right now hope it helps

Hey!! Effexor didn't cause me any weight gain. It also didn't help with migraines. I take Propranolol and it helps with anxiety and migraines. Hope that helps!! 💗
