I’m starting to get tired of the separation between talking about physical health and mental health. The brain is literally the most important physical part of a person’s body. How do people not get that if your brain is sick, we will have PHYSICAL symptoms and it will PHYSICALLY hurt us. I’m just so tired of mental health being treated like it’s not as important because it’s “in your head”. It doesn’t make any sense because the side effects of these illnesses are real symptoms being felt they aren’t just imaginary and they are taking place inside the most important part of your body that’s keeping you alive. Plus so many other physical health issues come from the years of stress that mental illness puts on our bodies. I’m just so tired of having to explain how mental illness can really hold you back from doing the things that a “normal” person could do. Im tired of the “invisible” illnesses.

I understand that feeling completely! We just have to help educate the people who don't educate themselves 💕
