This past year I pressed charges against my abuser (CSA). Im in trial against him, and will have to testify and see him again when I do. Any tips for managing severe stress and anxiety due to all of this?

I went through this. There is no way around the fact that trial for me not only "retraumatized" me as people say about these things, but trial was ALSO traumatizing in itself. I never took the time after everything ended to address how traumatizing that experience itself was and instead went right back to work to distract myself. That ultimately did not end well. Point is, take the time after this all ends to address what happened and process with a therapist. I wish I did.

I haven’t gone to court yet but I run through what I know I have to say and then try to run through any variables. As things get closer I plan on writing out an outline just to get it out of my head and give me something to do. I’d have a plan in place for what you’ll do after court. Something to calm your nerves and give your mood a boost. Buy a snack or stuffed animal or any thing you want if it’s in the budget. If you have supportive people in your life try and utilize them. If you have stim toys those could help too. Wishing you the best with all of this🖤
