I’m not sure who recommended this but I started using my cane again to help with knee & hip pain while using a wrist brace to help with wrist pain (until I can get forearm crutches, it’s hard convincing my parents) but I’m nervous to start using it again because I didn’t use it for almost 3 weeks at school and now I’m randomly using it again, I’m nervous about judgement. Can I just get some encouragement or something to hype me up and feel confident using it again?

I personally think canes are badass! Like the ones with the the silver animal heads too. I saw a show where a vampire hunter used a cane that concealed him silver vampire slaying sword. And "pimps" use canes for show. Nothing wrong with canes 😁 anyone that has a problem with it is uncultured and silly in my opinion. You could make your own story about your cane in your head too.
Absolutely! Its your life and you are the main character of your own story. Nobody is going to outright understand but those who really care will ask YOU about it to your face. And when they do you dont need to defend yourself even if they sound accusatory. You just explain to them. You know yourself best. Dont let people make you feel badly or like they somehow know better.
