Having a really hard day, tired and in so much pain all over. Makes me quiet , mostly because when I do express myself I am met with, dismissive comments and basically ignoring me and my needs. Expecting me to perform as usual… how do I cope ?

I can relate with so much of what everyone is saying. It's so hard when people don't understand, try to understand, or dismiss how we feel. If you don't have someone local you can speak to, I've found this platform very helpful. There's nothing quite like talking to someone who knows exactly how you feel, you can feel seen sometimes for the first time. Please reach out if you need to talk, and don't make any sudden, rash decisions.

I've been fatigued for weeks it's awful I spend so much time alone scrolling and watching the same shows over and over I am so bored and I keep thinking I want to pick up a hobby but I just don't even have the energy. It's a major bummer.
@MystikMandy yes it is so isolating, I have a dog and that gets me out. He helped me through my darkest days

Thank you for making me realize why I have become so quiet. I used to be so outgoing and full of life. I have been shunned and hushed.
@Invisible absolutely
😥❤️ I feel the same and it is a lonely place to be. I am sorry. Just know you aren't alone.
I'm sorry to hear that, that is really frustrating. Maybe you can try writing or typing your feelings out (if you feel well enough to do so) that way you can get the feelings out without having people make it worse. Or maybe finding specific people to express this to that are understanding. I hope you are able to find a way to cope!
@Psycho24 I am in the same situation! I can’t talk about my problems to either my husband or my 2 sons! It sucks ! Im definitely alone dealing with my health problems! They just expect me to be the way I use to be before I got sick😢 Its very lonely😭💔

@Angel1 and @Kalena I'm sorry you are both dealing with this. When they are dismissive of the pain and struggles maybe you could try using something called "I feel" statements. You just say "I feel (insert emotion) when/because (insert event)." Example: "I feel hurt when I talk about my pain and it is dismissed". This typically comes across as less accusatory and people are usually less defensive in their response. You could also try asking why they are dismissive or say your not in pain. Providing them with data and information may help them realize its not fictitious. I hope some of this is helpful!
@Angel1 😥 I understand
I understand this my mom has Sjorgens lupus and i have SLE everyone says well your mom doesn't complain.
@nk31784 I have a sister with some of the same diagnosis as me that says "oh Amanda stop complaining you're not even in as much pain as I am and I make it" it sucks
