Therapy for ADHD: Does it work?

I’m going to try to find someone in my area. I’ve heard cognitive behavioral therapy might help with some of the co morbidities. The trouble is trying to find someone who specializes in adhd. Unless they have it themselves they don’t seem to know much about it from my experience trying to get my two kids, who are now teens, therapy.

Ive been suggested ADHD therapy, but I've never actually tried it. I think the closest ive gotten is my therapist telling me to use fidget toys
