I wish. I’m 40 and have been told I need a double knee replacement but I’ve also been told that the NHS won’t do it until I’m older. Feed up with this pain, and having to use crutches everywhere I go. I can’t get in and out the bath. I struggle on stairs, I struggle getting out of chairs and taxi’s/ buses ect, I can’t even stand long enough to make a cup of tea without being in lots of pain. Ibuprofen is all the musculoskeletal specialist has said I can take. It doesn’t do anything to help. I’m really down being disabled. Not everyone but most people here have no tolerance if you’re disabled. I’ve had many people sigh at me because I walk so slowly if they’re behind me, I’ve had people walk right in front of me as I’m trying to go somewhere usually when I’m in my wheelchair then get funny with me. I don’t know about Great Britain more like Grumpy Britain.

Both knees replaced with an 8 week gap in between surgeries. After your surgery u have to keep that knee moving. Now laying around in pain. U have to keep it moving. And do physical therapy faithfully I overcome my knee replacements because I didn't give in to the pain. As much pain as I was in all my life prior to surgery the easier it made the surgery. I had a friend that has 1 dine before mine and she wasn't exercising it and has more problems then bedoreand her surgeon did the surgery with her way to heavy. So now she sits in a chair day n noghtt complaining about it. Why because she didn't keep it moving. It's so easy and yes it hurts but for me it hurt less. And just knowing I finally got my new knees and would be able to do stuff kept me going. My replacements are amazing and I can now live a life

@lainey1888 as long as ur incision is completely healed you can do water activities. If it's not u ca. Get an infection in that joint. But keep it moving. When I was sitting in my chair and laying inmy bed I would pull it up close to me and then stretch it out as far as I could. I don't know how many times a day I did that. However for me it was a feel good stretch. I got to where it felt good to get a little past the last stretch. I can almost get my he to my rear-end still and it's been a few years. But it might feel good for you to to stretch those muscles and it's no impact so it less painful. Abd your right no pain no gain. But u can do this. Uf you keep it up ur gonna be as happy with yours as I am with mine🤗
