I used to eat really slow. i would be the last person at the dinner table. then like 3 years ago i starved myself for llike 6 or 7 months. i only ate a hard boiled egg like every 3 or 4 days. after i stopped starving myself and accepting that weight gain and being a lil chubby isnt the end of the world. im still trying to love myself and have a healthy relationship with food but i realized i have been eating fast. like today i was at my niece's 1st birthday party and everyone sat down to eat. when i looked up from my empty plate i realized everyone still had a lot on their plate. it make me feel embarrassed but im trying not to care. does it have something to do with not eating for so long? or is it something else?

I do this too. I think it’s the anxiety about the act of eating. I know for me the longer I have to sit with a plate of food and think about eating it the harder it is to eat. So I think we eat super fast to get it over with, and have to spend less time with the super uncomfortable anxiety.
