I am ANA Positive but I barely have any tests to back it up. I've been ANA positive for a while but with as many blood tests as I have done, I barely have anything to back it up with. My doctors and I have been trying to go the autoimmune disease route based on this and my symptoms but we aren't getting very far and I'm at my wits end with it all. I keep being told that I could be ANA positive without it having anything to do with what's going on with me, however I have a very high titre (1:1280, Homogenous pattern. The first time I ever got it tested it was 1:640 and a speckled pattern). The only thing I really have to back it up is a high ESR, C3 complement, C4 complement, and CRP. However, those are nonspecific tests. The more specific tests I've gotten including Anti-SM, Anti-DsDNA, Anti-Ro, Anti-La, Anti- CCP, RNP, Jo-1, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Scleroderma, Centromere, and Chromatin are all negative. I've also gotten tested for Lyme's Disease and have done a liver function panel. Everything except for some low Bilirubin and low Creatine shows up negative. So I'm wondering, does anyone have an idea as what may be going on? Any further testing that I should do to figure out the ANA? Has anyone had a similar experience? I know this is going to be a toughy so I don't expect a lot of answers but I appreciate any suggestions.
