What hobbies has anyone picked up whilst they have had to rest or been stuck in hospital? Mine are knitting (when my hands aren't cramped up) and drawing.

When I'm stuck in bed I like to read or listen to podcasts. My hands give me a lot of trouble so I can't really do things that are super hands on, so those are my go-tos. Sometimes I'll also prop my phone against a pillow and watch YouTube or Netflix

I took up knitting (when my hands don't hurt), playing stupid mobile games that shouldn't be on the appstore because of how bad they are, and watching comfort shows/youtubers.
@BbyBunnny they're always the best types of games 😂
I like binge watching anime. I went through an Origami phase. Drawing, painting, marker cartoons, digital art. Writing, diary, creative writing, writing short stories. Learning metaphysical healing like Reiki or crystal healing. Hand crochet. Online classes (Harvard even has some free ones). Crafts from tiktok. Doing my makeup over and over and over. Painting little wooden signs and trinkets from the Dollar store. Clearing off my phone. Organizing the gallery on my phone. Cleaning all the stuff I have with me with alcohol pads or hand sanitizer with a tissue. Playing paper football with someone or by yourself. Playing majong. Playing solitare. Watching cooking videos. Making lists of literally anything.
@bridgiebee wow that's such a lot, might have to try a couple of them. Which is your favourite?

@chronicallyillchef I like watching anime while drawing. Or listening to music while Journaling. I find sound of some sort while doing something with my hands keeps me from being horribly bored lol
Does rewatching comfort shows count?😂 I’m also a writer so that’s easy to do while laying in bed, but brain fog can come in the way of that so I also play games on ps4. I read when I’m up for it too. I have periods of knitting, quilting, or doing puzzles but that comes and goes.
@Wanderinglumos of course it counts, that sounds so interesting. Any shows you'd recommend?
@chronicallyillchef my favorite shows are Gilmore Girls, Bones, and New Girl
Mainly lots of colouring in colouring books! Drawing and gaming on my switch is also something I do a lot when I’m stuck in hospital
@Scarletteve that sounds relaxing 😊
