Can we talk about how hard it is for women with ADHD to get meds that work or even meds at all??

For me it’s a combo of adderall and vrylar that works for me. I just gotta up my dose at this point as my tolerance is building

I forgot to mention my Vyvanse works much better with Wellbutrin. And if I take both by 8am & not within an hour of my one cup espresso or coffee, if I make a to-do or priority list for day, movement daily outside, minimal social media or TV & healthy non-processed diet, no sugar or artificial sweetener. I use cannabis edibles in evening to turn off My brain, relax my nervous system & consistent sleep routine. Otherwise, my Vyvanse does not work.

I’m in my 50’s & dx about 7 yrs ago. Concerta did not work. Vyvanse 40mg works a bit. I went off it last yr for several mnths, which did not go well. Both my adult daughters were recently dx. Vyvanse works well for one, but caused anger for the other. But I remember their 1st week on Vyvanse they said the same thing I did “Wow, this is how people without ADHD’s brains work? It’s so clear & focused!” 🙌

My first med the dosage was too much and gave me headaches and made me sleepy but they lowered it and it didn't work, my other makes me lose my appetite which suck but it's what I have to take

Yeah I gave up after adderall was giving me prolonged rage for 24+ hours. unmedicated, work with a counselor, working and on the premedical track … it’s doable so far …
